Hosting a Great Event
Thank-you for choosing Robin Chestnut, entertainer extraordinaire!
He's sure to fill your event with Laughter and Excitement.
Here are a few tips on how to make this event and any future
events, performer friendly.
|
|
- Read over the performance agreement carefully. Make sure all
times and dates are correct and be sure to call Robin immediately
if there are any changes.
- Sound-proof your event. Make sure your entertainer can be
heard. Robin comes with his own wireless mic and amplifyer,
however if there is a soundman at the event, it's far more
convenient to plug into his system. If there's no sound person
make sure that Robin has an electrical outlet somewhere near the
performance area.
- Set the stage for your event. If possible, make sure there
are no bad seats. No one should be behind the performer. An
elevated well-lit stage of at least 8x16 is great, but a ten-foot
ceiling is more important.
- Seat the audience as close to the performer as possible. The
closer the audience the more they feel they're part of the show.
Remove space and any obstacles from between performer and audience.
|
- Speak to your performer before he/she begins. Let Robin know
of any slogans, inside jokes, or appropriate volunteers. This
helps to make each performance unique and special. As well, the
performer may have a special introduction for the emcee to read.
A good introduction sets the tone of the performance.
- Send your performer a letter of recommendation. If you
enjoyed the show, nothing could help more than a few comments
about the show on your company letterhead. If you did not enjoy
the show, let the performer know so they can serve you better.
- Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. You're in good hands.
